Unlocking, which many believe Apple should have done from the get-go, opens your iPhone up to a whole new world, and is actually very easy to do.

Things You’ll Need:

* BlackRa1n unlocking application

Step 1

Turn on your computer and your iPhone. Go to the BlackRa1n website in the Resource section, you have a choice to download either a Windows or Mac version. Choose your appropriate version.
Step 2

Plug your iPhone into your computer with the Apple USB cable. Go to the file that you downloaded and double-click it to open the program with your iPhone plugged into your computer. Click “Make it Ra1n” on the BlackRa1n application menu and wait until your iPhone reboots. Unplug your iPhone after rebooting.
Step 3

Press the “Cydia” icon on your iPhone home screen and press “Manage” when the Cydia app loads. Press “Add” and enter in “repo666.ultrasnow.com” without the quotes. Go back to the Cydia sources menu and you will see the Ultrasn0w package. Click on it to download and wait as it is installed.
Step 4

Reboot your iPhone and your iPhone will be unlocked.
