Moog Medical Devices.
The U.S. company Moog Medical Devices which acquired the company Viltechmeda at the beginning of the year 2009, intends to invest 7 million litas in Lithuania in the nearest future, to establish a modern services centre and expand its research and technology branch.
On Friday, Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius heard such information from Martin Berardi, president of Moog Medical Devices, and the heads of Viltechmeda. In January this year, the international group of the U.S. capital Moog Inc acquired a100-percent holding of the company Viltechmeda for 15 million euros. The company manufactures, sells, repairs medical equipment, devices for infusion, syringe pumps.
“We pay special attention to the introduction of high and mid-high technologies, promotion of foreign direct investments in our economic stimulus plan. It is very important for us to overcome these hard times by gradual modernization of the Lithuanian economy, development of innovative economy, IT technologies, science and business valleys,” Kubilius noted.
