Funny story and nice work at photo manipulation at Sculptures.
French art director alexis persani has collaborated with french photographer leo caillard to create a series of in vogue sculptures, entitled “Street Stone”.
The ensembles are achieved through image manipulation, using photoshop to digitally dress the statues in the latest fashion trends.
Persani and caillard created the project as a humorous take on the contrast between contemporary and classic culture, demonstrating the vast metamorphose society has undergone, and continues to.
The final results are a funny combination of two very different worlds.
Caillard states that the purpose of the project is “to catch the eye of the beholder by the marriage of two worlds so different.”
You can watch the video of the Photoshop process below.
As you can see, the classic lounging sculpture suddenly develop distinct fashion sensibilities, donning cropped pants, Ray Bans, and plaid shirts and transforming into hipsters right before our very eyes.
