The Ventspils Venti campaign run by Nords Porter Novelli in association with DDB Worldwide Latvia and the city of Ventspils following the concept ‘A State Within a State’ has won a 2013 Gold SABRE Award in the Institutions Image category.
The winners of the ‘Gold SABRE Awards 2013’ (Superior Achievement in Branding and Reputation) were announced at the annual dinner, held on May 30, 2013 in Barcelona.
The finalists had been selected from a record number of entries received – 2,400. The Ventspils Venti campaign competed in the Institutions Image category along with campaigns run by advertisers from England, Turkey, France, and Poland.
Gold SABRE Awards is the world’s largest and most prestigious awards competition for the public relations industry.
It provides the premier showcase for the highest achievements in branding and reputation building in North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Pacific.
This year, SABRE Awards were judged by some of the most senior professionals from the public relations agency world, corporate communications and academia, featuring industry leaders from such companies as Ketchum Pleon, Weber Shandwick, Fleishman-Hillard, Cohn & Wolfe, etc.

Ventspils Adventure Park offers a hill for skiing, a rope track, bobsled, and BMX tracks, trampolines, kiiking swings, a summer tubing track, and other entertainment.
Ventspils is also called the flower capital of Latvia. You will find unique flower sculptures here – “The Underwater World”, “The Bobsleigh Team”, “The Ladybirds”, “A Family of Ducks”, as well as the only Flower Clock in Latvia.
